TEAM CT CHANGES:
Due to period subbing and staff absences we are making some changes to team meetings. Team meetings will be scheduled by each team and run by the professionals on team, the teachers. This will provide more flexibility for teams to meet. They will no longer be run by instructional specialist or instructional coach. We will continue to provide the quarter checklist and will be monitoring the completion of the tasks on the checklist. Please be sure to document on the quarter checklist the completion of tasks. You may request for the IS or IC to attend your team meeting if you need them. Our focus will be shifting to attending the department CTs to provide guidance, resources and support for instruction.
We have 2 schedule safety practice drills planned for the rest of October:
- Friday, Oct. 24, we will run our required Evacuation procedure between 9th and 10th period. This will require students to reunify w/ T-Bird.
- 400 teachers will ALL evacuate through the gym doors. With the changes to the outer fencing in place from the roundabout, this will become regular procedure. I will provide new maps to all staff to represent this update.
- Tuesday, Oct. 28, we will practice a Shelter in Place drill during 2nd period. This should minimally impact instruction as you can continue regular activities inside the building during this procedure.
Donald will pass it on this Friday via email.
