September 15, 2025

THANK YOU to everyone who attended the FUSD professional learning day.  It was an amazing day of learning with breakout sessions tailored to our needs.   We had presenters from Solution Tree, ASU, NAU, FUSD and more!  We are very appreciative of the FUSD committee who put hours upon hours of time putting this day together and feeding us!  Many district are not able to provide this level of professional development.  We are so very fortunate.

e-IEP PRO:  How do you access student IEP information?
Grading Guidance for Missing Work:
  • If you grade an assignment and a student has not done the assignment, put in a 1 for the grade.
  • The 1 indicates that the student did not show evidence of learning.  Since they did not do the assignment, they did not show evidence of learning
    • For students with chronic absences with a bunch of missing assignments, put 1s for those.  This will stress the importance of being at school and project an accurate picture of what the grades actually are.
    • The grade can change once the kid completes the assignment.  Be consistent marking 1s so students will know to make up the assignment ASAP
  • All assignments will need to be turned in and redos will only be accepted until the end of quarter and end of the semester. For example, if you assign students to write a poem due September 15 (first quarter), students will not be able to redo an assignment on November 1st (second quarter).

Grade checks are happening for sports!
Grade checks are run each week, and students who have a 1 in any class cannot play in that week's game/meet. They are able to show Ms. June, Ms. Weide or Ms. Yazzie their StudentVUE before the game if their grade has been updated between Monday & their game (either Wednesday or Thursday). Because of this, it is important that they are given an opportunity to demonstrate proficiency on assignments, quizzes, and tests, at any time before the end of the quarter. Please try to keep grades up to date for    this important reason. Reach out to June with any questions.

Quarterly Checklist
Please make sure you are documenting each task on your Quarterly Checklist for your Team CTs.  We monitor as to not overwhelm you.  Thank you!
