How does that happen so fast?
MEMS IAP GOALS
Mount Elden Middle School will increase Math AASA scores by no less than 10% for each grade level from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA scores.
Mount Elden Middle School will increase ELA AASA scores by no less than 10% for each grade level from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA scores.
Mount Elden Middle School will increase ELA and Math AASA scores for identified special education students by 10% from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA score.
QUARTER ONE GOALS FOR PROJECT MOMENTUM:
100% of teachers in all content areas will shift from past school wide literacy framework to Teacher Clarity with a focus on the four content areas of ELA, math, social studies and science, posting a learning intention and success criteria daily with annotated academic language.
By the end of quarter one, teachers will identify cusp students on ELA & Math AASA and identify needed supports and strategies to impact these students.
Mount Elden Middle School will review all available assessment data for all special education students (both in general education and special education settings) to understand and identify student needs.

Yearbook Club pays $1500
WE REALLY NEED A YEARBOOK CLUB SPONSOR! The yearbook will be digital!!!!!!!
FUSD is planning a districtwide Day of Service on Friday, September 11, 2026. MEMS will participate in the follow activities this Friday: campus clean-ups, creating cards for first responder and veterans. Please click on the link below to determine what activity you would like your T-Bird Time to participate in. Every T-Bird Class is expected to participate. We will run an assembly schedule this day. Thank you for supporting our District Service Day.
Taking Attendance:
Please make sure to take accurate and timely attendance every period.
Make any necessary corrections to attendance as soon as possible.
Make sure you don’t have extras in class.
Make sure you are marking kids absent who are not in school.
Make sure you see your full roster in Synergy for attendance:
Use the Edit option to expand your dimension of grid.
Use the “Fill” options to make sure all students are loaded.
Make sure you have 2 sets of printed rosters. You should print new ones since some students have changed classes.
Put one set in your red folder for emergencies.
Leave one with emergency sub plans.
AM late buses and breakfast:
Moving forward, when a bus is late, we will let students know that they can go into the dome for breakfast, or go straight to class if they do not want breakfast. We will give them a reasonable amount of time to eat. We realize this adds to the time they are late, but we feel like this is an essential service for many of our students and we want to honor this need as best as possible.
Field Trip Rosters:
When taking students on any trip (Camp Colton, Field Trips, Regional Band, etc…) Please submit rosters in the following format:
Digital in either Excel or Google Sheets.
Include these 3 data points:

BLACKOUT DATES AND PROTOCOLS
As a reminder, the following days are blackout days under FUSD policy.
The day prior or subsequent to any scheduled holiday.
The first or last instructional week of the year.
Parent/teacher conference days
Employees requesting time off during this time must submit an alternative conference schedule with their request in order to be considered.
Make-up days such as snow day make up
Testing days for test administrators and proctors.
You must have principal pre-approval if you must call off for extenuating circumstances. Please don’t plan a trip without prior approval. Thank you for understanding.
“Personal leave will not be granted on unless you receive pre-approval from principal.:
Any day we are above the 10% threshold.
When we hit the 10% threshold, I will then need to deny. It is very helpful when you secure a sub.
