MEMS IAP GOALS

  • Mount Elden Middle School will increase Math AASA scores by no less than 10% for each grade level from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA scores.

  • Mount Elden Middle School will increase ELA AASA scores by no less than 10% for each grade level from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA scores.

  • Mount Elden Middle School will increase ELA and Math AASA scores for identified special education students by 10% from the 2025 Spring AASA score to the 2026 Spring AASA score.


MEMS collaboration hours:

We have recently been approved for additional hours. I will be reaching out to you this week regarding the work. Please keep in mind this work must done outside of contract time. Contract time is defined as: 8:30 am-4:00 pm.

All collaboration hours must be completed by May 21, 2026.

Approved outside of work collaboration hours @ $40 per hour:


Thursday March 19
8th graders ONLY!
Details will come out on Monday!
The alternate testing schedule will affect only 8th graders. Sixth and Seventh graders will be on a regular schedule.

Please remind all students to use the restroom and water fountains closest to their room. Please practice quiet hallway behavior on all testing days.

Schools to Watch site visit: ALL staff meeting          @ 3:40 in the MPR room. District superintendents         and directors will be covering our duties.

Site Visit: WEDNESDAY!

The purpose of the Schools to Watch site visit is to verify the information and claims presented in the school's application. Through classroom observations, document review, and conversations with staff and students, the visiting team confirms that the practices described in the application are evident in daily practice and align with the Schools to Watch criteria.

BLACKOUT DATES AND PROTOCOLS

As a reminder, the following days are blackout days under FUSD policy.
  • The day prior or subsequent to any scheduled holiday.
  • The first or last instructional week of the year.
  • Parent/teacher conference days
    • Employees requesting time off during this time must submit an alternative conference schedule with their request in order to be considered.
  • Make-up days such as snow day make up 
  • Testing days for test administrators and proctors.

You must have principal pre-approval if you must call off for extenuating circumstances.  Please don’t plan a trip without prior approval. Thank you for understanding. 


 Personal leave will not be granted on unless you receive pre-approval from principal.:


Any day we are above the 10% threshold. When we hit the 10% threshold, I will then need to deny.  It is very helpful when you secure a sub.

From Anyonomous: I know it was posted last time, but a huge THANK YOU to our fabulous elective teachers for organizing the cultural assembly. It was an important and enjoyable experience for the kids!

From Aubrey: Thank you Jenny Stearns for your positivity and support. I know that I can call her and she will be there to help. She recently saved my entire lesson plan while I was having a technology issue. Go Jenny!
