November 10, 2025

November 11 is significant for Veterans Day because it marks the anniversary of the November 11, 1918, armistice that ended World War I. The holiday originated as Armistice Day to commemorate the end of the war, and the date of the armistice was the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month". In 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor veterans of all U.S. wars.  Thank you to all who have served.

Bathroom Sign Out Info:
  • Reminder, please use the bathroom/office sign out form when sending a student out of class. The form is here again for reference:
  • Some people have reached out about viewing the sign out sheet.  This will allow teams to see how many daily passes students have.  The sheet from the form is below (The sheet is sorted by most recent pass at the top, it can take time for it to update):
Your Help is Needed
  • We are seeing an uptick in students using racist, transphobic, homophobic, antisemitic etc… language.  Students make these comments believing they are funny or not fully understanding the impacts they are having.  So far students been remorseful and understanding of why this is damaging to our community, but we will need to take consistent action against it right now to send the message that it is unacceptable and not something to laugh about.
    • There is a perception of students that teachers are not addressing this when they hear it.  This is what some students perceive, not necessarily what your intentions are.
    • To combat this perception and address the issue, please send students to RP immediately when you hear racist language, homophobic jokes, antisemitic references, etc…  This will do a few things:
        • It will show students that this is unacceptable in our classroom communities and that it is unwelcome.
        • It will give them direct time and focused attention to process the behavior.
        • It will show other students that you in fact do care a lot about this and are attentive to the problem, erasing the perception that we are not addressing it.
Lunch Detention Procedures:

We are still need of a paid morning duty person-8:30-8:50.  Please contact Morgan.
