Oh how I love November!  It is a time for gratitude and giving thanks.  We have several activities surrounding gratitude at MEMS.  Be sure to participate!

We have hired for Daphne's position.  One of our very own parents, Mikkel Gutzwiller.  Mikkel will be training at MEMS Monday and Tuesday.  Please stop by introduce yourself and welcome her to our MEMS family.  She currently works at FHS so once they hire we will have a start date.  Until then please see Tammy.

Penny is visiting on Tuesday
November 19th.  We will be visiting classrooms and observing.  I am very excited to show off your teaching, students learning and our school.

Down time or Free time is our enemy on many levels.  Student aren't learning,  engagement is lower and it tends to be more unstructured.  In our commitment and focus on student learning, please do not allow your students to have more than 5-10 minutes of down or free time.  At the very least, ALL contents areas can provide students with articles to read (from SAVVAS or the internet) and they can conduct a Cloze Read or the Summarizing activity we just learned on Friday.  Please the Lynns for assistant.
