May 19, 2024

Can you believe it? The next full moon, the Flower Moon is Thursday May 23!  BE AWARE!  😆

Ted Lasso Theme for MAY

Stay grounded, keep doing what you are doing for our students!  You are amazing!

  • From Val:  I would like to extend a huge shout out to Phil Marandola. He has played such a vital role in the TIA classroom this year. He is always there to lend a hand, and he has made even the most difficult times seem easier. There are not enough words to express my thanks, but I know that it would be 100 times harder without him. He is a most vital part of our team. Many thanks Phil and looking forward to next year.
  • From Val: I would also like to extend a shout out to the administrative team for ALWAYS putting on your track shoes when we need you and showing up with a smile.
  • From Marie: Shout Out to Sydney Wade for organizing and executing a very smoothly ran Catalina Trip!! Without her, the trip wouldn't have been possible and our 8th graders wouldn't have had as many great memories. Thanks for all you do!
  • From Sydney: Marie Olson, Sara McDermott, Maddie Hall, Trevor Hathaway, & Lawrence Watson thank you for taking 70 kiddos to Catalina!!!!
  • From Maddie: Val Hardin- Working hard to have students earn field trips! Specialized programs do not really get those opportunities so its awesome to find ways they can earn them. Inclusion happens because of people like you!!
  • From Anonymous:
    • Mr. Moate, you are one of the nicest people on this planet! You always have a friendly smile and funny jokes!!
    • Mr. George is one of the coolest math teachers! Keep us dancing Barry!
    • Ms. Carrie Lamberti, thank you for everything that you do for our kiddos. Ti apprezzo BELLA
    • Sara McDermott- Super sweet and kind to her coworkers! Offers help whenever she can and overall just a calming presence in our building. Thank you for everything that you do Sara!
  • From Leah:Jenny Stearns is the best! She is kind, funny and incredibly generous. I am so happy to work with her in the library.
  • From Heidi:
    • Connie in the cafeteria- Helping a new student learn the process for lunches and feel comfortable. Speaking to her in her native language!
    • Laura Joy-The most data clerk ever!!!
    • Cindy & Renee-Really going above and beyond for students!
  • From MEMS Admin: Thank you to the Lynns and all the classroom teachers for working so closely with our 8th graders. We have gotten them over the line and they can attend promotion!

No Collaboration, It's moving week!

THE VOTES ARE IN!  More then 70% of you voted for full implementation to the grade level hallways.  This will change the focus for service week this week.

What to do if you are moving rooms:

    • Check the room you will be in to ensure it has the storage you need, ie. file cabinets, shelving etc.  We are hoping to move the least amount of large furniture.  We will not be moving teacher desks, chairs or student desks.
    • Speak with the person whose room you are moving into to discuss file cabinets and shelving.
      • We will NOT be moving teacher desks as they are all the same.
    • If you are moving any large furniture it MUST be completely emptied.  We cannot move furniture that has not been emptied.
    • Label all items that are moving.  Use masking tape and sharpie marker.  Put your name and room it is moving to.
      • Example: Criley Room # 349
    • BOXES:
      • Arriving sometime on Monday
      • Secure bottoms and tops with tape

        • Example: Criley Room # 349
    • Place all boxes in one area by the door for easy moving.
      • Everything you want to have moved must be marked and labeled with your name and new room number.
