After each visit from Penny Gros, Tammy's Principal Partner through Project Momentum, she will send us an email and a report.
Here's what Penny said in the email: Thanks for such an energizing day! I had so much fun and really appreciate your energy and positive spirit. I absolutely love your school and am already looking forward to returning in September.
Highlights from the Report:
● The school opened fully staffed and retained a higher percentage of teachers than in previous years.
● The school has developed a walkthrough form to capture data related to Gear 1 that all leadership team members use when conducting walkthroughs.
● Learning objectives were visible in most classrooms that we visited and were all posted in the same student friendly way that indicated what students would be able to do as a result of the learning.
● Most classrooms had the academic language posted that is associated with the learning objectives and were created as a school.
● The principal feels that the collaboration is going well on Friday afternoons. Teams are working to unpack standards.
● Teachers are implementing the strategies that they learned at the Dan Mulligan training. Each team committed to trying 1-2 identified strategies in all classrooms. All teachers committed to using interactive notebooks.
● Away for the Day is embedded in the culture which leaves students available for learning which is critical.

From anonymous:
- Kristin has an amazing impact with the students and staff she is over. MEMS is lucky to have her!!!
From Leah:
- To Teacher H and Ms. Artu: Both teachers are always so positive and kind. I feel very fortunate every time I have an interaction with you both. Thank you
From Julia:
- Although we have a few issues to still figure out, Kudos to our whole staff for moving classrooms to isolate each grade. Down here in the 100 hall, kids are on time and seem to me to be engaging in fewer shenanigans.
From Tammy R:
- Ben Kunkel, Austin Brown, Sydney Wade, Marie Olson, Aubry Crenshaw, and Emma Grebel for being willing to be interviewed for the first MEMS podcast episode. Stay tuned for all the fun!
- Confidential Binders are available for all teachers in Room 189. Please stop by to pick up - you will be required to complete a Confidential Binder Agreement form which indicates you have received the binder and will store it in a locked space.
